Nadine Badrawy

An Egyptian writer, researcher, and poet, she currently works as a language editor for Asharq Documentary Channel. She has extensive experience writing social and political articles, as well as scriptwriting and translating films. She has spent several years working with a few major media organizations, including Mariam Naoum’s Sard Company and Youssef Chahine’s Misr International Films, coordinating numerous writing and cinema workshops in general. Her first television writing experience was drawing the characters of the psychiatric hospital for the series “Free Fall/ Suqoot Horr,” followed by participating in the script and dialogue for the series “Ella Ana,”/ “Moonlight/ Day Elkamar”. Her most recent work is co-writing the script and dialogue for the Arabic version of the international Netflix series “Suits Arabia.”

Her experience has varied, including working as a correspondent for several cultural and political magazines and as a program writer for two radio stations. She has also worked as a proofreader and developer for several television series in Egypt, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. She published her first book, “Beyond the Sea,” which included a collection of poetic narratives. She also has a short story in the book “Makan,” titled “Shams Yakin,” published by Diwan Libraries in collaboration with Kayan Publishing House. She is also working on the book “Al-Nusuriyah/ Vulturarchy,” a political and social reading of the status of women in liberal and patriarchal societies, with support from the International Media Support Organization of Denmark.

كاتبة وباحثة وشاعرة مصرية، تعمل حالية كمدققة لغوية لقناة الشرق الوثائقية.. تتمتع بخبرات متعددة في كاتبة المقالات الاجتماعية والسياسية كما تعمل في كتابة السيناريو وترجمة الأفلام. أمضت عدد من السنوات تعمل مع عدة مؤسسات إعلامية كبرى منها  شركة سرد مريم نعوم وشركة أفلام مصر العالمية يوسف شاهين في تنسيق العديد من ورش الكتابة والسينما بشكل عام. كانت أولى تجاربها التيليفزيونية لها هي رسم شخصيات المصحة النفسية لمسلسل “سقوط حر” وتبعه المشاركة في السيناريو والحوار لمسلسل “إلا أنا” حكاية “ضي القمر” بطولة كندا علوش وآخر أعمالها هي المشاركة في كتابة السيناريو والحوار للنسخة العربية من مسلسل سوتس العالمي “سوتس أرابيا”.

تنوعت خبراتها بين عملها كمراسلة لعدة مجلات ثقافية وسياسية و كاتبة برامج لمحطتين إذاعيتين كما عملت كمنقحة ومطورة لأكثر من مسلسل تيليفزيوني بين مصر والكويت والسعودية. قامت بنشر ديوانها الأول “بعد البحر” ويضم مجموعة من السرديات الشعرية. كما لديها قصة قصيرة ضمن كتاب “مكان” بعنوان “شمس يقين” من إصدارات مكتبات ديوان بالتعاون مع دار كيان للنشر والتوزيع.  بالإضافة إلى عملها على مجلد النسورية وهو كتاب يحتوي على قراءة سياسية واجتماعية عن وضع النساء في المجتمعات الليبرالية بدعم من مؤسسة دعم الإعلام العالمي بالدنمارك.
